Volar Barracks Renovation Building 1156 - Ft Johnson, Louisiana

The original Volar Barracks campus on Ft Johnson, dates back several decades and since the original construction these barracks have undergone many renovations and upgrades. This project is part of a larger initiative to bring Ft Johnson’s housing stock up to current DoD standards to increase the quality of living standards for soldiers living on base. Federal Design Studio provided design services for the B1156 renovation that includes: lighting and HVAC upgrades, structural and life safety analysis of existing building conditions, plumbing fixture replacement and architectural finish upgrades including new doors and cabinetry.
